Exeter High School Boys Soccer Boosters

Soccer as a team sport, is very important in kid’s lives. Beyond the physical aspects of the game it can challenge players mentally as well. Playing soccer helps kids build valuable life skills, such as hard work, decision-making, problem-solving, and communication. Having a soccer team booster organization, offers additional support for the student athletes to help make sure they are able to achieve their goals both on and off the field!

Exeter High Boy’s Soccer Booster’s steps in not only to fill financial gaps, but also to foster team spirit and camaraderie as a whole. We fundraise so we have the ability to organize an alumni game, a special night for the Seniors, carb nights, an end-of-year banquet, provide food for some away games, scholarship aid and the purchase of jackets for players who have completed 3 years participation in the program.

We are always looking for help! Please email exeter5K@gmail.com if you would like to get involved.

Congratulations to Coach Dan Curran, who was inducted into the New Hampshire Soccer Coaches Association (NHSCA) Hall of Fame for 2024! This is an annual award that requires a nomination and voting by the NHIAA Boys and Girls coaches in the state of NH. Only one NHIAA Inductee is chosen per year.2024 Nomination: “Dan Curran has been an instrumental figure in the New Hampshire High School Soccer scene for the last two decades. After his own impressive soccer-playing career at Exeter High School and Colby-Sawyer College in New London, NH, Dan Curran became varsity head coach at Spaulding High School in Rochester, NH for a decade starting in 2007. Although wins were often scarce at Spaulding, Coach Curran's passion and optimism was infectious and his coaching tree sprouted a new generation of NHIAA D-II coaches including Spaulding grads, Josh Smith ‘08 of ConVal and Bow and Erik Nelson ‘09 of Kingswood. With the retirement of his former coach at Exeter, the legendary NHSCA hall-of-famer Jim Tufts in 2017, Dan returned home and became the boys varsity head coach at Exeter alongside his NHSCA hall-of-fame sister, Megan Curran Young, who has led the Blue Hawks girls varsity program since 2001. At Exeter, Dan truly was able to show his elite coaching ability at his alma mater leading the Blue Hawks to perennial post-season appearances. This year marks Dan’s 7th year at Exeter and may be his most impressive, with an undefeated regular season and national ranking honors. Outside of NHIAA soccer, Dan has been an organizer and advocate of Unified Soccer & Special Olympics Soccer for the last two decades and has served as the Seacoast-region boys head coach for the Granite State Games. Dan currently also serves on the NHSCA Board as the United Soccer Coaches liaison for boys. Please join us in recognizing Dan Curran for his hall-of-fame-worthy contributions to the sport in the state.”- Erik Nelson, Kingswood ... See MoreSee Less
